Istanbul Cereals Pulses Oil Seeds and Products Exporters' Association was founded in 1940 and has more than 1.000 members. It represents companies which produce and export chocolate, confectionery products, biscuits, bakery products, pastry, vegetable oils, oil seeds, cereals, pulses, soy bean, peanuts, flour, starch, semolina, yeast, spices, coffee, cacao and cacao powder, waffle, ice cream etc.
Sugar and chocolate confectionery sector is one of the most dynamic sectors in Turkey due to several factors, such as rapidly growing and young population with its growing demand for chocolate with toys, developing distribution channels, manufacturers' stiff advertisements, new product developments and increasing multinational investments. The sector has become one of the most important subsectors of the food industry using modern technology. It has the most advanced technology in the Middle East, Balkans, North Africa, Baltics and Central Asia. Products are more widely diversified and of a higher quality. Turkish exporters are highly equipped to meet international standards and consumer preferences. As a result, Turkey's chocolate and confectionery industry is integrated with the world economy.
Three promotion groups are founded in subsectors, but the foundation process is going on. These are; Confectionery Promotion Group, Pulses, Pasta and Products Promotion Group, Flour and Products Promotion Group.

1. Cereals Pulses Milling Products and Spices
