18th national participation to ISM Fair is carried out by Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds, and Products Exporters Association

Led by Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds, and Products Exporters Association, 43 Turkish firm presents Turkish confecttonary products in ISM 2018 International Biscuits and Confectionary Fair which is seen as world's biggest confectionary fair and is held on 28-31 January 2018 in Cologne, Germany. Total 80 firms that carry out 43 national and 37 individual participation, exhibits their confectionary and biscuit products in the fair where Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds, and Products Exporters Association attends for 18th times.

Participant firms find chance to develop commercial relations, to observe the sector's last developments, and to gain occupational prestige. Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds, and Products Exporters Association's Executive Board President Mr. Zekeriya Mete said that the firms trusted to our association that had participated for 18th times, and had had adequate experience and vision.

Firms see last trends in this one of the most important fair of the sector and enable to meet one-to-one with significant importers. Mr. Zekeriya Mete stated these: "Our sector contributed with 6 billion and 372 million dolars to Turkey's export and increase its numbers in more than 140 countries. Latin along with America countries like Argentina, Mexico, Venezuella, Colombia, African countries like Togo, Ghana, Niger were in our exportation countries, which we said them distant areas and went there with Turkish confectionary promotion group. In 2018 we will concentrate to regional frameworks and direct our occupations to increase our exports”

According to exportation numbers, Turkey is in top 20 in confectionary sector, and in top 10 among European countries. Creal export to 28 EU countries reached 742 million USD with %6 increase; also confectionary export reached 433 million USD with %10 increase in 2017. Germany, Holland, Belgium, and France are seen as Turkey's significant rivals in Europe.
